Fractions on Number Lines

Try making your own number line at home using string, pegs and square pieces of paper.


For extra challenge, you could write equivalent fractions and connect it to the other fractions that equal the same amount.


Try starting and ending the number line with different totals, e.g. try a line that starts at 0 and ends at 3, what would go at the half way mark?
How many halves make 3 wholes? How many quarters make 3 wholes?
